The admission to M.Ed program for 2022 session has been announced by IGNOU. The course has been designed and developed by Distance Education Council (DEC), Indira Gandhi National Open niversity (IGNOU) and National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). The M.Ed course being offered by IGNOU will be a two- year program which will be offered through open and distance learning (ODL) system.
A multimedia approach will is being adopted in order to impart the due information for the program, viz., print materials, audio-video components, teleconferencing, Interactive Radio Counselling (IRC), assignments, counselling sessions, personal guidance for research, workshops, individual and group activities, etc. will be taken into account.

IGNOU M.Ed eligibility criteria
See if you are eligible for IGNOU M.Ed (PG in Education)
- The candidate needs to have completed B.Ed. with a minimum of fifty five percent marks. Also the candidate need to have a two years’ teaching/ professional experience after completion of B.Ed program in a Government/ Government recognized school/ NCTE recognized teacher education/ research institution in education. The cut-off date for teaching/ professional experience will be the last date of submission of filled-in application form.
The criterion for reservation is as follows:
- The reservation for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and other categories shall be regulated as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government, whichever is applicable.
