IGNOU M.Ed Admission process and entrance exam 2019

IGNOU has announced admission to the M.Ed. Programme which is designed and developed jointly by the erstwhile Distance Education Council (DEC), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). This two- year M.Ed programme will be offered through open and distance learning (ODL) system.
In order to impart the due information for the programme, multimedia approach, viz., print materials, audio-video components, teleconferencing, Interactive Radio Counselling (IRC), assignments, counselling sessions, personal guidance for research, workshops, individual and group activities, etc. will be taken into account.

Admission Process

The admission to the M.Ed programme at IGNOU will be done Regional Centre-wise/ State-wise on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance test to be conducted by IGNOU all over India. The candidate is required to submit the filled-in application form with attested copies of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form. The original documents will be required for submission on a later stage. This will be done once the candidate receives the offer letter for admission from the Regional Centre after the entrance test. The change of programme centre outside the Region will not be permitted an thus no change of category code shall be entertained from the candidate after the submission of Entrance-cum-Admission Form, so choose carefully.

IGNOU M.Ed 2019 Entrance Test

The IGNOU M.Ed 2019 Entrance Test is scheduled in the May 2019. The hall tickets for the same will be provided to the candidates before ten days of the Entrance Test. In case of non-receipt of Hall Tickets three days before the date of Entrance Test, candidates can download the same from IGNOU website: www.ignou.ac.in; and report to the Examination Centre for appearing for the IGNOU M.Ed 2019 Entrance Test.
Mere allowing candidates to take Entrance Test would not amount to acceptance of their eligibility for admission to M.Ed. The final admission to the programme shall be subject to the rank of the students in the merit list in the Entrance Test and production of proof of their eligibility along with the original certificates and deposition for programme fee. Do keep in mind that the number of seats of each PSC is limited to 35 only.
