SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2018 Notification – SBI Youth for India Fellowship Program is initiated, funded and managed by the State Bank of India as a CSR activity, in partnership with reputed NGOs.

About SBI Youth for India Fellowship

  • SBI Youth for India is a 13-month long programthat enables India’s brightest young minds to work on rural development projects with experienced NGOs
  • It provides a framework for India’s best young minds to join hands with rural communities, empathize with their struggles and connect with their aspirations. Promoting a forum for the Program alumni to share ideas and contribute to rural development throughout their professional life

 

Fellow Profile

  • SBI Youth for India Fellows come from diverse educational, cultural and professional background. Some of our fellows have studied from prestigious institutions like IITs, IIMs, UC-Berkeley, etc.
  • Few of them have work experience from eminent organizations like TCS, Thomson Reuters, Reliance Industries, etc.

 

Duration of the Fellowship

  • Duration of the Fellowship Program 13 months
  • Full-time
  • Requires you to stay in rural areas near Project site

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • You should be highly motivated, outstanding young professional or fresh graduates between the ages of 21-32 as on date of commencement of program)
  • You must be an Indian Citizen

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their application Final Selection will be based on the performance in Interview

 

Program Structure

  • Training: You will go through a carefully designed orientation and training program to sensitize you to the rural ethos, introduce you to rural project management techniques and equip you to handle the challenges of working on rural development projects
  • The training will include classroom sessions with guest speaker as well as field’s visits.

 

Some of the topics that will be covered are:

  • Leadership and team building skills
  • Project Design and Management
  • Nee Assessment
  • Questionnaire Design
  • Impact Analysis
  • Writing case-studies
  • Documentation techniques
  • Project Work: You will be assigned a project in accordance with your interest/skill sets and the requirements of the partner NGO
  • For the entire duration of the project, you will be provided with a mentor by the partner NGO who will provide guidance and held you to successfully address the challenges you may face

 

SBI Fellowship /Support:

  • Stipend: Rs.15000/- to meet living expenses
  • Local Transport Allowance: Rs.1000/- per month
  • A Readjustment Allowance of Rs.30000/- upon successful completion of the Fellowship
  • To and for travel costs of the Fellows from his/her place of residence to project location as well as for training programs
  • Medical Insurance
  • Mentorship by experienced professionals in the field
  • Access to the Community through well-established Partner NGOs
  • Linkages with premier organizations of the country
