Single Entry Multiple Company Interface (SEMCI) INDIA is conducting 15th Nationwide Education & Scholarship Test (NEST), 2016 in order to ignite student’s interest in pursuing accurate knowledge and to prepare them for competitive skills, such as CAT, GATE, GRE, TOEFL and various other tests for admissions to higher studies in good institutes as well as for jobs in reputed companies on 31st January 2016

Q. What is the eligibility criterion for NEST examination?

SEMCI INDIA Nationwide Education & Scholarship Test (NEST) is conducted in two different categories NEST-I and NEST-II given below is the eligibility criteria for both the examination categories

NEST-I: 

The First and Second Year Degree students of Engineering/MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS/12th (Science), BCA and BSC (all)/Diploma Engg (only Final Year) are eligible .

NEST-II: 

Third and Fourth Year Degree Engineering/MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS/BCA and BSC (only Computer and IT) are eligible.

Only bona fide students registered in colleges are eligible for this scholarship

Not Eligible to Participate:

  • Anyone who tops the list in a category cannot apply again in the same category
  • Anyone who has won the top prize in previous year CANNOT appear again in the same category. 

Q. What is the difference between NEST-I and NEST-II scholarship?

Nationwide Education & Scholarship Test (NEST) is conducted in two different categories NEST-I and NEST-II the major difference between these two categories is the year in which the student is studying.

NEST-I is conducted for First and Second Year degree students where as NEST-II is conducted for Third and Fourth Year degree students

Q. How many times a person can appear for NEST scholarship examination?

There is no restriction on how may time a student can apply for examination but whenever a candidate apply for NEST examination he/she should fulfill all eligibility criteria but anyone who top the list in a category cannot apply again in the same category or Anyone who has won the top prize in previous year CANNOT appear again in the same category.

Q. When will the registration for NEST junior scholarship begin?

The registration for NEST junior scholarship to award meritorious science students pursuing class X, XI and    XII  all over India will begin from 1January 2016

Q. What are the monetary benefits of NEST scholarships?

NEST will reward the eligible candidates with monetary benefits depending upon the category for which they have applied

For NEST-I: 10 or more scholarships of Rs. 30,000/- each with Rs 75,000/- to Rank 1

For NEST-II: 10 or more scholarships of Rs. 40,000/- each with Rs 1, 00,000/- to Rank 1
