CMC Vellore Medical Postgraduate Fellowship Admissions 2020 – Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore has released notification for eligible candidates for admission in Postgraduate Fellowship Courses for the academic year 2020.

Courses offered and Eligibility Criteria for CMC Vellore Medical Postgraduate Fellowship Admissions 2020
Accident & Emergency Medicine (F01)
- Duration of Course: 02 years
- No. of Seats: 10
- Eligibility: MBBS Degree
- Compulsory rotating residential internship and full registration before 15th May 2020
- Those with a service obligation will need to have completed the same by 15th May 2020
Advanced General Dentistry (F04)
- Duration of Course: 02 years
- No. of Seats: 04
- Eligibility: BDS Degree
- Compulsory rotating residential internship and full registration before 15th May 2020
- Those with a service obligation will need to have completed the same by 15th May 2020
Palliative Medicine (F06)
- Duration of Course: 01-year
- No. of Seats: 02
- Eligibility: MBBS Degree
- Compulsory rotating residential internship and full registration before 15th May 2020

Note:
- Postgraduate Courses in this institution are full-time in-service training programmes and Medical practice outside the Institution is not permitted.
- All the listed Fellowship courses are ‘Skills development programs’ and should not be considered equivalent / replacement of the Medical Council of India recognized courses.

Selection Process
Step – 1 (NEET-PG 2020 or CBT)
- Candidates applying for Postgraduate Fellowship courses in Neonatology and Palliative Medicine, have the option to submit their NEET-PG 2020 score or to appear for Computer Based Test (CBT) in the respective specialty paper conducted by CMC Vellore.
- Candidates applying for Advanced General Dentistry / Laser Dentistry have to appear for Specialty papers – Advanced General Dentistry / Laser Dentistry respectively (Step 1) (CBT).
Step – 2
- Selection for Step – 2 will be based on the results of Step 1 for all courses
- Selection Process: The selection of candidates for postgraduate fellowship courses will be according to the directives of the CMC Vellore Council. Fifty percent of the seats in each course are reserved for Minority Network category candidates, provided they fulfill other criteria for eligibility for admission.
- However, more than 50% of the available seats may be allotted to Minority Network category candidates based on their ranking in the selection test. The wait list is based on ranking in the selection tests.
- The first Minority Network category candidate on the waiting list will ordinarily fill vacancies arising by Minority Network category candidates not accepting a seat to make up 50% reservation for Minority Network category candidates. In the event that more than 50% of the seats in any course are filled by Minority Network category candidates and one of the Minority Network category candidates does not accept the seat, it will be offered to the next candidate on the wait list by rank irrespective of whether he or she is a Minority Network category candidate or open.
- Please note that accommodation will not be available for candidates in the Hospital Annexe or any of the Institutional Guest Houses or Hostels during Step 1 & Step 2 of the selection process.
Fellowship in Advanced General Dentistry and Laser Dentistry Courses:
- Selection will be based on the Specialty papers in Advanced General Dentistry and Laser Dentistry respectively (Step 1) and Practical test and Interview (Step 2).
Other Fellowship Courses
- Selection will be based on either the NEET-PG 2020 score obtained by the candidate or the marks scored by the candidate in the respective Specialty paper, depending on the candidate’s option in the application form (Step 1) and on the basis of Practical tests and Interviews (Step 2).
Computer Based Test (CBT):
- The test will be conducted at Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kottayam, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagercoil, Puducherry, Salem, Thiruvananthapuram, Vellore & Vijayawada.
- CBT will be of a SPECIALTY paper consisting of multiple choice questions in the specialty for which the candidate has applied and subjects allied to it.
- Candidates are permitted to write two Specialty papers.
- The duration of the Specialty paper is 90 minutes (120 multiple choice questions). All candidates who wish to appear for the CBT are required to be in their assigned seats at the time, date and place stipulated on the Hall ticket.
- No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall after the commencement of the exam.
Stipend & Accommodation
- The medical Postgraduate Fellowship Courses are conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Academic Committee of the CMC Vellore Association and the training is an “in-service” type. Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated stipend as per rules. Selected candidates will also be provided free partly furnished single / shared accommodation as per availability, EXCEPT for those selected for Advanced General Dentistry and Laser Dentistry.
Results
- A list of candidates selected for admission will be put up on notice boards in the College and Town campuses and on the website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in
- All selected candidates who wish to accept the Postgraduate Fellowship seat offered, must give their acceptance in writing or by e-mail (scanned copy with signature) by the date and time stipulated in the Selection Notice.
CMC Vellore Medical Postgraduate Fellowship Admissions 2020 Application Process
- Application forms can be accessed only on-line through the CMC website, http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in/ during the dates mentioned in Sections 2 and submitted online with a basic administrative fee of Rs.1000/-.
- Candidates applying from SAARC countries should send Rs. 2000/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries should send US dollars 100 or its equivalent.
- Money can be remitted by using any one of the following methods:
- Online payment using the payment gateway (credit or debit card / net banking)
- As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form. Please mention FC- CMC-V on the challan. (Send the original challan)
- All the required enclosures must reach the Office of the Registrar, Christian Medical College, Vellore 632002, on or before the dates mentioned.

Submission of NEET-PG 2020 Score
- Candidates who have to submit their NEET-PG 2020 scores must sign in to the application site using their application number and date of birth and enter their NEET roll number and NEET scores at the link provided, after the announcement of the NEET-PG 2020 results. The last date for online submission of NEET results will be announced later
Minority Network Category Rules
- Candidates who previously had a service obligation for the M.B.B.S. / Diploma / Degree courses with one of the Minority Network Organizations or the Christian Medical College, Vellore, and are now applying for postgraduate course will be governed
