Swami Rama Himalayan University Admission to MBBS Programme 2016

SRH University MBBS Admission 2016 to undergraduate courses in MBBS programme for academic session 2016-17 at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences will be done on the basis of mark obtained in the NEET 2016

The "Swami Rama Himalayan University" is established by the Uttarakhand Act & came into existence vide Notification No. 101/12/xxiv(6)/2013 dated 12th March, 2013 issued by the Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Uttarakhand

The University invites application from the candidates who have qualified in the NEET (UG) 2016 for admission in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) programme offered by its constituent medical college, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences for the academic year 2016-17

Duration of the Programme

The duration of MBBS programme will be four and a half years followed by one year of compulsory rotatory internship; the curriculum is based on the directives of the MCI

Seats Available

The Total No. of Seats available for MBBS Programme is 150 for the academic session 2016-17

Permanent Residents of the State of Uttarakhand (40% Seats): a) Through Counselling conducted by the Govt. of Uttarakhand (25 Seats); b) Through SRHU-2016 conducted by Uttarakhand Govt. (35 seats)

All India Categories (60% Seats): a) Through SRHU-2016 conducted by SRHU (90 seats)

Counselling by Swami Rama Himalayan University for 125 seats

(i) 40% seats are reserved for candidates, who are permanent residents of the state of Uttarakhand

(ii) 26% rebate in the tuition fees only shall be given to the candidates, who are admitted

Eligibility Criteria

Age: Only those candidates, who have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of their admission to the first year of MBBS Programme are eligible to apply; only date of birth recorded in the High School/ICSE or its equivalent certificate will be accepted

The upper age limit shall be 25 yrs as on 31st December 2016

Qualification & Minimum Marks

Candidate must have passed the 10+2, i.e. ISC/ intermediate exam, or its equivalent, after a period of 12 years of study from a recognized board (CBSE/ ISC/ State Board etc), the last two years of such study, comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education

The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and mathematics or any other elective subject with English individually and must have obtained:

(i) A minimum of exact 60% (for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates a minimum of exact 50%) marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, taken together and

(ii) A minimum of exact 50% (for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates a minimum of exact 40%) marks separately in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology in the qualifying exam

NEET (UG) 2016

Only those candidates who have been declared qualified in CBSE-NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY- CUM- ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2016 (NEET-UG 2016) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education are eligible to apply

Registration Process

The candidates as per their convenience can choose one of the below mentioned mode of registration

Offline Mode: Candidate must download the Information Brochure from the University website (www.srhu.edu.in) and read it carefully to understand the registration, counselling process and other requirements

A candidate can download the Registration form from the University website www.srhu.edu.in

Registration form should be filled with hand in CAPITAL LETTERS by black ink ballpoint pen by the candidate himself

Candidate must paste his/her recent passport size (3.5 x 4.5 cm) colored photograph with white background indicating clearly name of the candidate

The Non Refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- will only be accepted in the form of a DD of any Nationalised bank, drawn in favour of "Swami Rama Himalayan University" payable at Rishikesh or Dehradun

While submitting the Demand draft please writes your Roll No. of NEET (UG), Name and Mobile number at the back of the Demand draft

Registration Fee: Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only)

Last Date of Online Registration: 27th August 2016 (12.00 midnight)

Declaration of Merit List based on NEET (UG) Score: 30th August 2016

First Counselling: 03rd to 05th September 2016

Last date for payment of fees for 1st Professional MBBS Programme: 10th September 2016

Second counselling: 14th September 2016 (09.00 AM)

Last date for payment of Fees for 1st Professional MBBS Programme for candidates who have been allotted a seat in the Second counselling: 17th September 2016 (04.30 PM)

Last Date of withdrawal 29th September 2016 (04.30 PM)
