543 MD, MS Seats increased in 64 Medical Colleges
MCI permits 64 Medical Colleges for One Time Increase in Seats to PG (Board Specialty) Course 2018 Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has announced an increase in seats for PG (Board Specialty) Course 2018 Admissions. The increase in seats has been made as One Time Increase due to change in student teacher ratio.
The list of colleges along with increase of seats been made.
As per the Notice-
“This permission for increase in seats in the above courses and admission of students will be till such time the first batch of students admitted against the above course (s) appears for the first final examination in the subject unless the permission is withdrawn earlier. The College authorities may take up the matter for recognition of the qualifications under Section 11(2) of IMC Act at the time of first batch admitted against the course appears for final year examinations.
It shall be ensured by the States & UTs/Medical Colleges/Institutes concerned that:
i) Adequate funds are provided in Budget regularly till all facilities are provided.
ii) 50% Seats are contributed to All India Quota (Except the Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir) “
