Important Dates

  • Availability of Prospectus at University Website Prospectus can be had from University after paying Rs.200/- in cash: 07th June 2018
  • Last Date for Online Submission of Application Form through University Website: 25th June 2018
  • Last Date for Deposition of Application Fee in any branch of Oriental Bank of Commerce, through Bank Challan: 26th June 2018 upto 04.00 pm
  • Candidates can download Admit card from University Website: 27th June 2018 onwards
  • Date of Conduct of PPMET-2018: 30th June 2018 (Saturday, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm)
  • Date of Result Declaration by 03rd July 2018

 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have passed qualifying examination as under:

  • The Higher Secondary Exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry & Biology after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education; (or)
  • Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology including a practical test in each of these subjects with minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST/BC) marks in PCB. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible
  • The Pre-professional/pre-medical exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-university or an equivalent exam; the pre-professional/premedical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as compulsory subject; (or)
  • The first year of the three year degree course of a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the exam is a University Examination and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course; (or)
  • B.Sc. exam of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. exam with not less than two of the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying exam with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English; (or)
  • Any other exam which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate Science exam of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in each of these subjects and English

Age Limit

  • Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years, on or before 31st December of the corresponding year
  • Candidates should have studied during his/her 10+1 and 10+2 exam or other qualifying examination in place of 10+2, as listed in 4 (A) (i) (a) to (f) above, as candidate from a recognized institution situated in the State of Punjab only except for the exemptions wherever applicable

Reservation for PPMET
For Govt./University College

  • The reservation in the State quota seats in Govt. Institutions in various categories for admission to the under Graduate Para Medical Courses will be as under:
  • (i) SC - 25%; (ii) BC (Note: The backward class certificate must be as per the latest instructions of the Govt. of Punjab): 05%; (iii) Backward Area/Border Area (1% each): 02%; (iv) PH (Orthopaedically Handicapped (disability 50% to 70% ) to be determined at the time of counseling by a duly constituted board of the specialty of Orthopaedics): 03%; (v) Sports Persons (Credit will be given for the sports achievements made during 10+1/10+2 classes only): 01% (vi) Wards of terrorist/riot affected persons (in order of preference to the exclusion of next category): 01%

Private Colleges

  • The institutions who are allowed to admit only girls will obey the Govt orders; the reservation in private institutes (in Govt/Mgmt quota seats) will be as under:

Foreign Indian Students NRI Seats:

  • 15% seats in all private Institutes and specified number of seats in Govt./University Institutes shall be earmarked for the Foreign Indian Students (NRI); the Foreign Indian Student (NRI) quota in private institutes will be part of the Mgmt. Admission Procedure

  • For admission to these courses, the candidate must have secured at least35% marks (30% for SC/BC) in the PPMET
  • The selection shall be strictly as per PPMET ranking of the candidates who apply to the concerned authorities for admission after declaration of the PPMET result. However, the candidate may opt to change choice of station at the time of counseling. Counselling shall be compulsory

Admission to Private Colleges

  • Government quota Seats 50%
  • Management/minority quota seats 50% (including Foreign Indian Student (N.R.I.)

Conduct of the Test

  • The test will be conducted at various centres in the cities; the exact name of the Cities, Institutions, Schools or Colleges will be informed by the University to the candidates
  • The test will be conducted on 30th June 2018(Saturday) from 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 pm
  • Candidates are required to reach the Test Centre at least 30 minutes before the start of test. If the candidates do not report in time they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the examination hall

Mode of the Test

  • The Exam shall be only one paper consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). There will be 200 questions in all 50 on Physics, 50 on Chemistry, and 100 on Biology (50 each on Botany & Zoology)
  • The paper shall be of 3 hours duration and shall carry 800 marks
  • The test will be of objective type with multiple choice questions and candidates will be provided with a sealed Question Booklet and an OMR Response Sheet. In the Test/Question Booklet, there will be 200 items (questions) serially numbered from 1 to 200
  • Candidate will write with BLACK FINE TIP BALL PEN, the required information regarding: Roll Number, Name, Question Booklet No., Question Booklet Set etc. on the Test/Question Booklet before opening the seal
  • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. However, for security reasons fifth oval (i.e. E) has been introduced

Admit Card

  • The University will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of PPMET-2018, along with a certificate which would be dully signed and attested from either Principal of last attended School/Executive Magistrate. Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein
  • Candidate may please note that admit cards will not be sent by post. The admit cards will be available on University website on specified date. Candidate must not mutilate the Admit Card or change any entry made therein. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition till admission in Nursing Colleges is over
  • Candidates can access/download their result card from the university website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in

 

Application Form

  • Prospectus can be downloaded from the University website www.bfuhs.ac.in
  • Before applying, candidate should carefully read Prospectus for eligibility conditions and other important instructions. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate; submitting more than one application by a candidate is liable to be rejected.
  • Candidate ensures that he/she has completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2018
  • After filling online application, candidate should have to deposit requisite fee in the University account through any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce by using Bank Challan Form, which will be generated after filling online application form at university website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in
  • Fee shall not be accepted in any other mode i.e. cash, Cheque, Demand Draft etc. After filling online application form by candidate, University will issue a Unique Registration Id. Registration id (i.e. Login Id) and password will be provided to the candidate at his/her registered Mobile Number through SMS and email
  • Admit card will be issued against that Registration Id's, against which Registration Id application fee has been remitted within a stipulated date and time
  • Fee required with Online Application Form
  • Rs.3000/- for General Category (Rs.1500/- for SC categories only) be deposited in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce throughout India by using Bank challan form which is generated after applying online through University website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in by due date and time
  • Fee once deposited in University account will not be refunded/adjusted
