NEET MDS 2017 for admission to MDS 2017 Session

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) MDS 2017 is a National level exam conducted by NBE for admission to MDS courses in various Government and Private Dental Colleges across the Country.

NEET MDS - All India PG Dental Entrance Exam 2017

NEET-MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various post-graduate MDS Courses under Dentists Act, 1948

NEET-MDS is a single window entrance examination for Dental PG Courses. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MDS Courses as per the Dentists Act, 1948 w.e.f. Admission Session 2017

National Board of Examinations has been notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to conduct NEET-MDSon an All-India Basis for admission to various MDS Courses at various Dental Colleges /Institutions of the country

NBE shall be conducting NEET-MDS as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from 30th November 2016 to 03rd December 2016 at test centres located in 41 cities across the country

NEET MDS 2017 will comprise 240 Multiple-choice Questions from the BDS Curriculum followed at Dental Colleges across the country

What is the Scope of NEET- MDS?

NEET-MDS-2017 shall be the single eligibility cum entrance exam namely ‘National

Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Dental Courses’ for the academic session 2017-18 which will include the following:
i. All India 50% quota seats for MDS courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
ii. State quota seats for MDS Courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & and Telangana)
iii. MDS Diploma courses at all Private Dental Colleges, Institutions & Universities all across the country
iv. MDS courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions

Eligibility Criteria for NEET MDS 2017

Candidate must be an Indian citizen
Candidates in possession of BDS degree/Provisional BDS Pass Certificate from a Dental College/Institute duly recognized as per the provisions of the Dentists Act, 1948 possessing either a permanent or provisional registration certificate of BDS qualification issued by the Dental Council of India/State Dental Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the same on or before 31st March 2017 may apply for NEET-MDS through online

NEET MDS 2017 Application Fee

General/OBC Applicants - Rs 3750/-
SC/ST/PWD Candidates - Rs 2750/-
The fee for the examination has to be remitted through payment gateway, at the time of online registration, using a credit card or debit card issued by Banking in India or through online banking

NEET MDS Application Form 2017

The online application form of NEET MDS 2017 will be released on September 26, 2016 to 31st October. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the eligibility criteria before filling up the application form. The last date for online registrations is October 31, 2016

The requisite application fee for NEET MDS 2017 will be Rs. 3750/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 2750/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates, which has to be paid online via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking


NEET- MDS shall be held as a Computer Based Test and shall comprise of 240 Multiple Choice Questions from the BDS curriculum followed at dental colleges in India duly prescribed as per the Graduate Dental Education Regulation notified by Dental Council of India with prior approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India
