Director of Medical Education Hyderabad notifies General Nursing & Midwifery Course (3 years) Admission 2019

DME Telangana GNM Admission 2019 - Online Applications from the eligible male and female candidates belonging to Telangana State only are invited for admission into 1st year of Three years General Nursing and Midwifery Course for the year 2019-20 batch, which is being imparted in Govt. & Private Schools of Nursing in the State.

Important Dates

  1. The Payment of Registration Fee Rs.200/- per student is starts from 13th September 2019

  3. Uploading of Online Applications for Govt. & Private Nursing Institutions are from 13th September 2019
  4. Last Date for Submission of Downloaded Applications is 30th September 2019 up to 05.00 PM
  5. Selection Process should be completed in Government Nursing Institutions by 25th August 2019
  6. Last date for submission of Downloaded applications at District Level Conveners is on 30th September 2019 or Private Nursing Institutions for Convener and Management Quota Seats
  7. Selection Process should be completed in Private Nursing Institutions by 11th October 2019
  8. Commencement of classes will be from 01st November 2019 for the academic year 2019-20

 

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates should have passed XII class OR Intermediate or its equivalent exam preferable with Science subjects. As per the G.O Ms No: 410 HM &FW (K2) Dept, dated: 28.11.2008, MPHW (F), candidates who have passed ANM course of 18 months are eligible for admission into GNM course and they are exempted 6 months duration in GNM course subject to the condition that they shall undergo the revised training program as laid by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi

 

Minimum Qualification

  1. 10+2 class passed preferably Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) & English with aggregate of 40% marks
  2. 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/ English elective or Health Care Science - Vocational stream only, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSC/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks
  3. 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the Schools and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks
  4. Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council
  5. Students shall be medically fit
  6. Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science Exam or Health care Science - Vocational stream only conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks
  7. Students shall be admitted once in a year

 

Age Limit

  1. The minimum age shall be 16 years completed and enter 17th year as on the 1st July of the year and shall not have completed 35 years of age
  2. The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to SC, ST and BC’s is relaxable by 3 years

Selection Procedure

  1. The detailed notification and online application is available in the DME official website. Every Superintendent will be provided with user ID and password for verification of on-line applications received by them
  2. After selection of the candidates, they will indicate the selected candidates through online
  3. Only downloaded online filled in applications along with registration fee and relevant enclosures will be accepted
  4. Selections will be made purely on merit, on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the group subjects, excluding languages
  5. In deciding merit candidates who qualify under compartmental system will be placed after candidates who passed in a single attempt
  6. 85% of seats in local area are reserved in favour of local candidates in relation to the local area and the remaining seats are unreserved as per Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions
  7. Out of the seats available for admission 15% for SC, 6% for ST and 25% for BCs are reserved

 

Application Procedure

  • Online admission application form is available in the Director of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad website https://dme.ap.nic.in and the same is available from 13th September to 25th September 2019
  • Follow the below given steps for submission of online GNM admission application
  • Step 1: Pay Registration Fee of Rs.200/- through a Govt challan crediting to the following Head of Account 210-Medical & Public Health; 03-Medical Education Training & Research; MH 105-Allopathy; SH (81)-Other receipts; 001-Other receipts at State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of India at respective places
  • Step 2: Log on to DME Official website https://dme.ap.nic.in for online application form. Fill up all the mandatory fields (*) as per the instructions given in the online application and press submit button
  • Step 3: Download/print the filled in application form and submit the same with necessary enclosures as per the details noted in the application form
