Important Dates

- Issue of Application Forms (for MBBS/BDS Courses) : From May 28

- Last date for submitting the filled-up application forms: June 15 (5 P.M.)

- Merit List will be published on June 22

- Counselling for MBBS, BDS Admission : July 2 to July 8

- Admissions for the students who have been allotted colleges will be held on July 18 and classes will commence on August 1. The second phase of counselling will begin on August 25 to fill the vacant seats and quota seats will be held between August 25 and 28. These students will join college on August 30 and the entire admission process will be completed by September 30.

ADMISSION TO MBBS / BDS COURSE FOR 2007 – 2008

Applications are invited for admission to MBBS / BDS Degree Course for 2007 – 2008 session in Government / Self – financing Medical / Dental Institutions coming under the purview of Single Window System in the State of Tamil Nadu.

The application form with Prospectus will be available the following Govt. Medical / Dental College :

Madras Medical College , Chennai

Stanley Medical College , Chennai

Madurai Medical College , Madurai

Thanjavur Medical College , Thanjavur

Kilpauk Medical College , Chennai

Chengalpattu Medical College , Chengalpattu

Application forms and prospectus will not be issued from the Director of Medical Education and Office of the Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai.

Application Form for each Special Category

For MBBS and BDS Courses. - Rs. 100/-

S.C / S.T candidates are exempted from payment of cost of application and Prospectus. They can obtain the application on written requisition duly enclosing two sets of attested Xerox copy of the Community Certificate.

Applications can also be obtained by post by addressing the Dean / Principal of Government Medical / Dental College , duly enclosing the postal stamp to the value of Rs. 60/- (Rupees Sixty only) for ordinary post duly enclosing the required Demand Draft (Rs. 500/- or Rs. 100/-) as the case may be).

The SC/ST candidates can also obtain the application by post duly enclsing the postal stamp to the value of Rs., 60/-. They need not enclose Demand draft for Rs. 500/-

Applications can also be downloaded form the Website : www.tnhealth.org and can be submitted along with the required Demand Draft. (Rs. 500/- or Rs. 100/- as the case may be).SC / ST candidates need not enclose Demand Draft.

Candidates applying under Special Category should submit the Special Category application along with Common Application Form. Only one form should be used for one special category. Candidates applying under Sports Category should submit the applicants with necessary documents in person at the Office of the Selection Committee, Chennai – 10. Without required documents, their claim will not be considered under any circumstances.
