SDEF Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship 2020 – Swami Dayanand Education Foundation announces Merit-cum-Means Scholarships 2020 and invites applications from students pursuing Engineering, MBBS, IT, Pharmacy and Architecture Courses in Government or private institutes in India. Objective
  • One of our long term goals is to establish a model Senior Secondary School for underprivileged children. A Scholarship Edu is also running Scholarship Training Centres for Underprivileged Youth to equip them with relevant and marketable skills.
  • The Foundation (SDEF) provides Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to exceptionally talented but poor students in India pursuing professional courses.

Eligibility Criteria for SDEF Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship 2020
(a) The Scholarship is offered to students pursuing Engineering, MBBS, Pharmacy, IT, Architecture courses in Government or private Institutes in India.
(b) Candidates must have secured 85% marks in 12th class OR have obtained Min. 25,000 Rank in JEE (Main) OR Min. 10,000 Rank in JEE (Adv)
(c) Grade Point Average should be at least 7.5 in 10 points scale system. The scholarship is opened to all years of UG courses.
(d) The age limit of the applicant is maximum 25 years. The candidates should not be availing or intend to avail any other financial assistance/scholarship from any other source.

Scholarship Amount
The foundation is offering 200 scholarship in the following categories:
a) Smt. Shyam Lata Garg Scholarships Rs.50000/- p.a. (10 Nos.)
b) Sh. Anand Swarup Garg Scholarships Rs.25,000 per annum (25 Nos.)
c) Sh. Ram Lal Gupta Scholarships Rs.20,000 per annum (40 Nos.)
d) Smt. Sheela Gupta Scholarships Rs.20,000 per annum (40 Nos.)
e) Smt. Lilawanti Himatlal Desai Scholarships Rs. 20,000 (1 No.)
f) Smt. Indira Jayendrakumar Shah Rs. 20,000 (1 No.)
g) Smt. Shanti Devi Scholarships Rs.17,500 per annum (35 Nos.)
h) Sh. Ram Ji Lal Scholarships Rs.15,000 per annum (40 Nos.)

Distribution
*30% Of the total scholarships are reserved for women applicants.

Step 2 Then, Click on the ‘Apply for Scholarship’ link at the top of the home. Please read the instructions carefully before applying for Scholarship.
Step 3 After that, Fill the application form with the required details. After successful registration, the candidate will receive a confirmation email along with a copy of application form.

Selection Procedure
  • Fresh – As the number of scholarships for minorities available in a year is fixed and limited, it is necessary to lay down preference for selection
  • The scholars will be selected on the basis of their merit and family background such as the percentage of marks obtained in the course and annual income of the family.
  • The preference will be given to students with lowest family income in the ascending order.
