University of Sussex announces Dr John Birch Music Scholarships 2016

University of Sussex, UK is offering Dr John Birch Music Scholarships 2016 for all full-time Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, whether they are studying for a Music Degree or not.

The University of Sussex is delighted to honour its much loved former music lecturer and organist Dr John Birch (1929-2012), with these named scholarships to support talented musicians (choral, organ and other instrumentalists) to continue to develop and perform while studying at Sussex.

Scholarship Details:

Four Scholarships of £800 cash award are available

Each scholarship is for 1 year

Eligibility Criteria

Citizens of India are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Candidates must be Grade 8 in chosen instrument and undertake an audition.

Recipient must agree to perform in a minimum number of institutional events.

How to Apply

Candidates will need to write a letter expressing the interest in the scholarship and stating candidates musical attainment level to Dr John Birch Scholarship, Development and Alumni Relations Office, Room 200, Sussex House, University of Sussex, Falmer, Brighton, BN1 9RH.
