International Leader of Tomorrow Award Scholarship 2018 for Undergraduate degree programme
Applications are invited for University of British Columbia (UBC) awards for international students to pursue Undergraduate Degree Programme at the University of British Columbia Okanagan and Vancouver Campus in Canada
International Leader of Tomorrow Award-winners receives an award-level commensurate with their financial need as determined by the costs of their tuition, fees, and living costs, minus the financial contribution the student and their family can make annually towards these costs
A standard needs-assessment is made, based on financial information provided by students and their families

Scholarship Award
ILOT Award winners will receive an award-level commensurate with their financial need as determined by the costs of their tuition and student fees, plus their living and other related costs at UBC, minus the financial contribution the student and their family can make annually towards these costs
A standard needs-assessment will be made, based on the financial information provided by students and their families. Scholarship can be taken in the Canada

Eligibility
Award candidates must be nominated by the high school they are currently attending, recently graduated from, or the college/university they are transferring from. To be considered for an International Leader of Tomorrow Award, students must:
Be applying for their first undergraduate degree
Be admissible to the first choice program they are applying to, including meeting UBC’s English Language Admission Standard
Have an excellent academic record (at least an “A” average or equivalent standard)
Be an international student, who is neither a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident of Canada, and who will be studying in Canada on a Canadian Study Permit (visa)
Demonstrate a level of financial need that would otherwise prevent them from pursuing a UBC degree
Be entering a UBC undergraduate degree program from a recognized secondary school, college or another university
Application
An application to a UBC undergraduate program and a nomination for the Canada International Leader of Tomorrow Award are separate processes, and will be independently evaluated
Complete an online application for undergraduate admission to UBC at you.ubc.ca. Use your full legal name exactly as it appears in your passport or other official documentation
The normal application procedure requires payment of application fees before the application can be submitted electronically. ILOT Award nominees DO NOT have to pay these fees, and you must therefore follow a special procedure in order to submit your Admission Application
The school/non-profit organization must send the completed nomination package containing the ILOT Award nomination, official transcript(s) and other supporting documentation in a sealed, school envelope, with school stamp across the envelope flap, placed in a courier envelope and sent to:

Nominees or their school should keep a copy of their ILOT Award nomination package
Important Dates
Nominating high school or non-profit organization completes 2018 Nomination Notification Form for UBC Awards to confirm the full name and date of birth of their nominee(s): 1st November 2017 or earlier
High school/non-profit organization submits the completed ILOT Award nomination package: 15th November 2017
Application Completion Form for UBC Awards: 01st December 2017
Email to nominee to confirm for receipt of ILOT Award nomination package by: 31st January 2017
Deadline for nominee/school to submit any supporting documentation and/or results not available by 31st January 2018
Nominees informed of results of ILOT Award competition: Mid April 2018
