SVIMS NC Gupta Pulmonary Fellow Admission 2018– Applications are invited from the eligible candidates at National Level for the above said fellowship (01 seat) for the academic year 2018-19

SVIMS Tirupati

  • SVIMS Tirupati, established in the year 1993, under the aegis of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, as a modern super speciality hospital,was granted the status of a university in the year 1995 by an act of A.P. state legislature

Objective

  • The objectives of the Institute are:
  • to create a centre of excellence for providing medical care, education and research facilities of a high order in the field of medical sciences in the existing super-specialties and such other super-specialties as may develop in future, including continuing medical education and hospital administration
  • to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate level and in super specialties so as to set a high standard of medical education
  • to provide for training in paramedical and allied fields, particularly in relation to super-specialties
  • to function as a referral hospital
  • The Institution is recognized by the UGC under section 12 (B) of the UGC act, 1956, and the MCI has granted permission and later recognition to start DM/MCh

  • Anaesthesiology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Nuclear Medicine, Biochemistry, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Community Medicine, Ophthalmology, Emergency Medicine, Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Dental Surgery, Paediatrics, Dermatology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology, General Surgery, Physiology, Haematology, Psychiatry, Transfusion Medicine, Radio Diagnosis, Medicine, Radiotherapy, TB & Respiratory Medicine

Super Specialties

  • Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Medical Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Genito Urinary Surgery (Urology), Rheumatology

Principle

  • The purpose of “NC Gupta Pulmonary Fellow” is to enable advanced training of physicians in Pulmonology and to promote excellence in teaching and further knowledge in research relating to pulmonary medicine
  • SVIMS entered an MOU with several prestigious Universities to enable rotation in abroad.

Duration

  • Duration – 6 Months (include 4 weeks training in an advanced centre within India / Abroad)

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • MD (Medicine) / MD (TB&RD) / DTCD / DM (Pulmonology). Those who are appearing the exam in April/ May 2018 are also eligible to apply subject to submission of study certificate from the Principal of the Medical College
  • They have to furnish PG degree pass certificate at the time of screening test
  • Intake: One candidate each year.
  • Upper Age Limit:45 years

 

Selection Process

  • Applications are invited from eligible candidates through a notification on all India basis. The committee constituted by the Director cum VC shall evolve the process of selection
  • Statement of Purpose stated by the candidate in the application shall be reviewed for a clearvision
  • Written Test & Interview shall be conducted by the committee constituted for the purpose bythe Director cum VC. The written test in MCQ pattern will be conducted for 80% in their respective specialty and Interview will be conducted for 20% of marks

Interview

  • While attending for the interview the candidate has to furnish the following original certificates for verification
  • SSC/class 10 certificate or its equivalent as proof of date of birth; MBBS degree certificate; PG Degree provisional/original certificate; DM Pulmonology degree certificate (if applicable); Medical Council Registration certificate for MBBS and PG degree; Study and conduct certificates for UG & PG degree

Stipend

  • Monthly stipend on par with 1st year DM PG will be paid. In-service candidate will not be paid stipend

Accommodation

  • Accommodation in SVIMS campus will be provided on par with 1st year DM PG
