Scholarship Details

  • Oil India Limited (OIL) invites applications from students passing Class X & Class XII Board Exams in 2019 from Schools/Colleges located within OIL operational areas of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Charaideo/Sivasagar (falling under Moran OIL field) of Assam, and Lohit and Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh for OIL Awards & OIL Merit.

Scholarship Offered

  • The scholarship is being offered by the OIL India Limited under their CSR initiative. Oil India Limited is the second largest hydrocarbon exploration and production Indian public sector company

 

Important Dates

  • Link Opens 25th July 2019 (07.00 HRS)
  • Last Date filled in Application/Application Deadline: 23rd August 2019 (15.30 HRS)

 

Scholarship & Award

  • For Oil Merit Scholarship the candidate must be any of the following:

Non-OIL Employee Children:

  • HSLC- Rural: Reserve category: 70%, unreserved: 75%
  • HSLC Urban: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
  • AISSE: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
  • ICSE: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
  • HSSLC / AISSCE / ISCE: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%

OIL Employee Children:

  • Class 10: Reserve Category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
  • Class 12: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%

 

Eligibility Criteria

For OIL Awards-2019

  • Students securing State Level Rank in Class X & XII Board exams under SEBA/AHSEC/Equivalent State Board from schools/Colleges located in OIL operational areas of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar/Charaideo (under Moran OIL fields) districts of Assam and Lohit & Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh, can only apply

For OIL Merit Scholarship-2019

  • Students passing Class X & XII Board exams under SEBA/CBSE/ ICSE/AHSEC/equivalent State or Central Boards in the year 2019 from schools/colleges located in OIL operational areas of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar/Charaideo (under Moran OIL fields) districts of Assam and Lohit & Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh, securing the following cut-off percentage

Application Procedure

  • Candidates are to attach self-attested photocopy of mark sheet; application with mark sheet downloaded from Internet will not be accepted
  • Candidate applying for OIL Awards, 2019 must furnish photocopy of respective Board’s circular declaring his/ her rank, duly attested by School/ College authority
  • Exam name should be correct. Stream (for class XII) must be mentioned. Both total marks as well as percentage should be furnished
  • OIL Employees’ Children are strictly advised not to apply for OIL Merit Scholarship through this pro forma. Application Format for them will be available in Public Affairs Department, OIL / OIL Intranet Portal OILWEB
  • SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates must produce certificate from competent authority duly attested by Gazetted Officer. Candidate’s claim to belong to any of the above category without proper certificate will not be entertained
  • Candidates are requested to open Bank Accounts before filling up this application
