Oil India Limited (OIL) invites applications from students passing Class X & Class XII Board Exams in 2017 from Schools/Colleges located within OIL operational areas of Dibrugarh , Tinsukia, Charaideo/Sivasagar (falling under Moran OIL field) of Assam , and Lohit and Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh for OIL Awards & OIL Merit

Purpose/ Awards: Scholarship and award

 

Exam & Cut-off Percentage

01.

 

Class X (HSLC - Rural) OBC/MOBC/SC/ST/PWD - 65%; and General - 70%

 

Class X (HSLC – Urban) OBC/MOBC/SC/ST/PWD – 75%; and General – 80%

 

02.

Class X (AISSE) OBC/MOBC/SC/ST/PWD -8.6 CGP; and General – 9.0CGP

 

03.

Class X (ICSE) OBC/MOBC/SC/ST/PWD – 80% and; General – 85%

 

04.

Class XII (under CBSE / ICSE/ Equivalent Central Boards) - all streams - OBC/MOBC/SC/ST/PWD – 80%; and General – 85%

 

Eligibility

For OIL Awards-2017: Students securing State Level Rank in Class X & XII Board exams under SEBA/AHSEC/Equivalent State Board from schools/Colleges located in OIL operational areas of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar/Charaideo (under Moran OIL fields) districts of Assam and Lohit & Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh, can only apply

 

For OIL Merit Scholarship-2017: Students passing Class X & XII Board exams under SEBA/CBSE/ ICSE/AHSEC/equivalent State or Central Boards in the year 2017 from schools/colleges located in OIL operational areas of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar/Charaideo (under Moran OIL fields) districts of Assam and Lohit & Changlang districts of

 

Arunachal Pradesh, securing the following cut-off percentage

 

Application Procedure

Candidates are to attach self-attested photocopy of mark sheet; application with mark sheet downloaded from Internet will not be accepted

 

Candidate applying for OIL Awards, 2017 must furnish photocopy of respective Board’s circular declaring his/ her rank, duly attested by School/ College authority

 

Exam name should be correct. Stream (for class XII) must be mentioned. Both total marks as well as percentage should be furnished

 

OIL Employees’ Children are strictly advised not to apply for OIL Merit Scholarship through this pro forma. Application Format for them will be available in Public Affairs Department, OIL / OIL Intranet Portal OILWEB

 

SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates must produce certificate from competent authority duly attested by Gazetted Officer. Candidate’s claim to belong to any of the above category without proper certificate will not be entertained

 

Candidates are requested to open Bank Accounts before filling up this application

 

Interested candidates can download Application Pro-forma for OMS 2017 from OIL website www.oilindia.com
