NDTV-Deakin University Scholarships 2018

NDTV Deakin Scholarships 2018– NDTV and Deakin University Australia are jointly inviting applications for NDTV Deakin Scholarships 2018 from Indian students to study on-shore at Deakin University, Australia with the view of giving back to India the skills and experience which would make an impact to the society.

This year, the NDTV-Deakin Scholarship enters its fourth year and are open to meritorious students aspiring for either undergraduate or postgraduate studies.

Objective

  • The main objective of the NDTV Deakin Scholarship Program is to identify deserving students with meritorious academic history and holistic achievements for studies on-shore at Deakin University.
  • NDTV Deakin Scholarship offers four 100% tuition fee scholarships to meritorious applicants from India. The scholarships are offered for undergraduate and postgraduate level studies in Journalism and Mass Communication at Deakin University.

Scholarship Award

  • 100% tuition fee scholarships to meritorious applicants from India
  • The NDTV Deakin Scholarship Program was launched in April 2015 and offered 100% tuition fee waiver to one deserving candidate for onshore studies at Deakin University, Australia. Things then got bigger and better and 2016 saw 4 meritorious students win 100% tuition fee waivers.
  • For the third year in a row, the NDTV Deakin scholarship has received an incredible response from across the country. With two scholarships on offer for undergraduate and postgraduate level studies, the jury has had a tough task to do.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For Post Graduate Studies at Deakin, the applicant must have:
  • More than 80% in undergraduate degree
  • Completed the course within the stipulated time frame
  • Significant achievements in co-curricular activities
  • Demonstration of commitment to give back to society, the knowledge and experience
  • Minimum English language capability as per requirements for the course/area of study at Deakin University

For Undergraduate Studies at Deakin, the applicant must have:

  • More than 80% or equivalent in the 12th Indian Board Examinations/ IB /GCSE
  • Significant achievements in co-curricular activities
  • Demonstration of commitment to give back to society, the knowledge and experience
  • Minimum English language capability as per requirements for the course / area of study at Deakin University

 

Selection Process

  • Candidates are selected for the scholarship in a three-stage process consisting of application review, semi-final interviews, and on-campus final selection activities
  • Interview: The top 15 candidates are then invited for a face-to-face interview by a panel consisting of representatives from NDTV and Deakin University.
