Sanskriti Foundation announces Mani Mann Fellowship 2019-20 in Hindustani Classical Music

Mani Mann Fellowship 2019 – Sanskriti Foundation invites applications for the Mani Mann Fellowship 2019-20. Mani Mann Fellowship – in Hindustani Classical Music is awarded to young musicians to study and learn under the tutelage of an acclaimed guru of Indian Classical Music

Objective
i. To support the talented artists who are young and at the learning stage to become advanced in their domain
ii. The future benefit of this fellowship for recipients is to have the funds and time to contribute to the art

 

Mani Mann Fellowship 2019 Important Dates

Last Date for Submission of Online or offline Applications is 31st December 2019

 

Eligibility Criteria for Mani Mann Fellowship 2019

Candidate must be in between the age group of 25 – 40 years.
Degree/diploma from a recognized university or institution
Applicant should have minimum 10 years of initial training in Indian classical music
The applicant who had already given minimum 2-3 solo performances to his/her credit in recognized forums

 

Term of Fellowship

a.
The duration of the fellowship is 1 year with the condition to live with the guru
b.
The applying and the interested candidate will have to sign an agreement with Sanskriti Foundation Department related to a regular work during the Sanskriti Hindustani Classical Music Fellowship period.

 

Fellowship Award

The grant amount of Rs.100, 000 will be given in two phases:
a) The 1st installment at the commencement of the award and
b) The 2nd installment after the submission of completion of project

i. Candidates should send their two page CV and a write up of approximately 500 words explaining their project
ii. Full postal and telephonic contact details together with any Email id should be submitted to facilitate contact
iii. Few samples of previous work, project or performances should be submitted
iv. The names and contact addresses/telephones of two referees should also be sent
