Sanskrit Foundation offers Kalakriti Fellowship 2018 for women

Kalakriti Fellowship 2018 – For young performing artists, Women participation is highly encouraged. One taking individual lesson from a professional or guru are also eligible to apply

This Fellowship has been released to encourage young artists to advance and excel in their field. The fellowship program will be of 10 months and this fellowship will enhance the candidate as he/she will receive guidance from gurus and resources with sufficient time to dedicate to the art.

Details of Kalakriti Fellowship

  • The Sanskriti Pratishthan invites applications for its annual Sanskriti – Kalakriti Fellowship in Performing Arts from young performing artists who wish to contribute towards enriching their respective art form. The scheme will be managed by the Sanskriti Pratishthan, which has been giving similar awards over the past 25 years.

Objective

  • The objective of the fellowship is to encourage young artists to develop their potential and enhance their skills through intensive practice and or incorporating different facets of their art

Duration

  • The duration of the scholarship will be ten months. Candidate will have to sign an agreement with Sanskriti Pratishthan pertaining to a regular flow of work during the Fellowship period

Prize and Rewards

  • The grant of Rs.50000/- will be given in two installments. The first installment of Rs.25000/- will be given at the commencement of the fellowship programme and a short mid-term progress report will be required
  • The second installment will be given after the submission of your complete project report when the fellow may be requested to give a dance recital

 

Application Procedure

  • Candidates should send their two-page CV and a write up of approximately 500 words explaining their project. Full postal and telephonic contact details together with any E-mail id should be submitted to facilitate contact
  • Few samples of previous work, project or performances should be submitted. The names and contact addresses/telephones of two referees should also be sent
  • The application should bear the title ‘Sanskriti – Kalakriti Fellowship’ on the envelope when sent by post and in subject line if sent through email on [email protected]
  • Applications are accepted round the year for the next year’s fellowship
