IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship Programme for M.E/M.Tech Students

IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship Program 2018 – The notification for IIT Delhi Summer Research Fellowship Program 2018 has been announced. IIT Delhi has instituted Summer Research Fellowship Program for providing opportunity to exceptionally good M.Tech. / M.E. students of different engineering institutes except IITs in India or abroad, to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of an IIT Delhi faculty.

Details of Fellowship

  • Applicants must be within Top ten ranks in their respective program / branch
  • Students of IITs are not eligible to apply. The selected fellow will register at IIT Delhi as a visiting student; he/she will not be required to pay Institute registration fees. The salient features of the fellowship programme are as follows:

Duration

  • The Fellowship work can be done in a period of 8-12 weeks which can be availed of during at the most two visits

Support

  • The fellowship will cover the following:
  • Cost of travel (Train-Sleeper class) in the country, to and from IIT Delhi
  • Stay at IIT Delhi during the visit(s), including boarding and lodging in the Institute hostels; and
  • Fellowship of Rs.500/- per week
  • The fellow will register at IIT Delhi as a visiting student; she/he will not be required to pay institute registration fees. The fellow will have to bear the insurance charges

 

Eligibility

  • Any M. Tech./M.E. student, who has completed at least 1 year of study and has secured at least 70% marks or CGPA of 7.00 (on a 10-point scale) at the end of 1st Year, in her/his respective program will be eligible to apply for this fellowship

 

Application – How to Apply?

  • Application Form is available at the following link: https://academics.iitd.ac.in/srf/login.php
  • The applicant will have to upload the following documents while filling the online form:
  • Photograph (Jpg format, 200×230 pixels, maximum size 100kb); (b) Consolidated Grade Card (Pdf format); (c) Rank Certificate (Pdf format); and (d) No Objection Certificate (Pdf format) from the parent institution stating the starting and ending dates for carrying out full time research work at IIT Delhi under the fellowship program
  • The candidates are not required to submit hard copy of the application; however, the selected candidates will have to produce the above original documents at the time of joining

 

Important Dates

  • Deadline – Online Application Portal will be open from 20th Apr to 04th May 2018
  • List of Selected Fellows will be announced on the website by 11th May 2018
  • Fellowship Start Date: Summer work can start after 21st May 2018
