Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi is offering Senior Academic Fellowship for the academic session 2018-19
No. of Fellowships
- The maximum number of Senior Academic Fellowships (SAF) available for the year 2018-19 are 10 (ten) only, applying the usual reservation for SC/ST & PwD
Fellowship Award
- Rs. 44000/- per month with a contingency grant of Rs. 44000/- per annum for a period of two years Post-doctoral fellowships will be awarded based on Performance in the written exam and interview
Eligibility
- Senior Fellowships are awarded to senior scholars who have done quality work and have publications in the form of books and papers in professional journals related to history to their credit
Selection Procedure:
- On the basis of the experts’ assessment (if recommended), selected candidates shall be required to make a presentation for half an hour on the proposed subject of research
- The award of the Fellowship will be decided by a Committee of specialists, on the basis of the experts’ evaluation of the proposal and the presentation made by the candidate
- The presentation by the applicant will be held at the ICHR’s offices and date & venue will be announced on the website
NOTE: The candidates who are selected to make presentation or appear for interviews will be reimbursed their travel charges to the extent of 3AC railway fare chargeable by the shortest routes from Railway Station nearest to their normal place of residence or from where they actually perform the journey on production of ticket(s).

- Eligible and interested scholars may apply along with self attested copies of the requisite documents mentioned in the checklist by post & electronically to the Member Secretary, Indian Council of Historical Research, 35, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi- 110 001.
- And also, soft copy / electronic copy should be sent through email to [email protected] by 13th March 2018
