GE Foundation Scholarship – Leaders Program

Applications are invited for The GE Foundation Scholar Leaders Program from undergraduate students enrolled in one of the partner universities of the GE Foundation. The notification for GE Foundation Scholarship 2016 – For Undergraduate Students has been announced.

About GE Foundation Scholarship

  • The GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program began in 1987 in Mexico and since then it has been a strong pillar which provides support to outstanding students in higher education in fourteen countries around the world among which India is also the one

 

About IIE

  • IIE is an international not-for profit organization established in 1919 and has been working into Indian higher education for the past 60 years. It established its office in New Delhi, India in 2005
  • IIE currently administers 200 programs which benefits near about 20,000 men and women from 175 nations

 

The Scholarship Includes:

  • Financial Support for the last 2 to 3 years of the program the candidate is enrolled to
  • Access to funded participation in Leadership Development Seminar
  • Opportunities in community development or volunteer projects
  • Mentorship Opportunities with GE Business Leaders

 

Who is eligible to Apply?

Only students enrolled in one of the partner universities within the specific field of study as indicated below are eligible to apply:

    • Biomedical Engineering
  • Tezpur University, Assam
    • Food Engineering and Technology
    • Mechanical Engineering
  • IIT, Gandhinagar
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • BITS, Pilani
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Computer Science and Engineering
  • MIT, Manipal
    • Mechanical Engineering

Students belonging to ONLY these colleges should enquire with their administration for other details regarding the subject areas, application forms, etc.

Reward

  • GE Foundation Scholarship  Reward
  • Scholarship for 2 years: The successful candidates will be offered a scholarship of $2,000 (USD) per year for the 3rd and 4th years of their undergraduate engineering program
  • Interact with GE Business Leaders: Candidates will be given a golden chance to interact with GE Business Leaders and to understand the R&D culture of a major engineering company
  • Participate in Seminar & Activities: Candidates can participate in the activities organized by GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders, including a specially designed leadership development seminar
  • Participation in community development projects
