FICA Inlaks Goldsmiths Scholarship 2017-18

The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art in partnership with INLAKS Shivdasani Foundation and Goldsmiths, University of London, invites applications from eligible candidates for the FICA Inlaks Goldsmiths Scholarship 2017-18.

 

The Scholarship will support an Indian student who will be part of the M.Res in Curatorial/Knowledge program at Goldsmiths starting September 2017

 

This is a full funding opportunity available to Indian students applying for the M.Res in Curatorial/ Knowledge Program at Goldsmiths, University of London.

 

The program will provide the seminar in Curatorial/Knowledge as well as access to any graduate courses and seminars in the Department of Visual Cultures.

Benefits Provided

The selected candidates will get a scholarship, which covers the full Tuition fee. Local accommodation will be provided to the candidate

 

The scholarship covers tuition fees, local accommodation, return flight to India, visa expenses and basic living expenses

 

The scholarship will be given to 1-year full time course, which will start from September 2017

 

Eligibility

Candidates should below the age of 40 years

 

Candidates must be Indian citizen and should be living in India at the time of application for scholarship.

 

The interested candidates must hold an Undergraduate Degree in the Arts and Humanities fields from a recognized Indian University.

 

Those applicants who have completed their graduation outside India must have lived in India at least 2 years after completion of their graduation.

 

Candidate must hold a valid passport for travel.

 

Not Eligible

Applicants who are currently pursuing or have completed their postgraduate degree (e.g. Master’s or PhD) from a university outside India are not eligible.

 

Applicants who have previously received Inlaks overseas scholarship or overseas grant are also not eligible to apply for scholarship.

 

This scholarship is only available for the above mentioned M.Res Program & will not support any other programs available at Goldsmiths.

 

Selection Process

The University, FICA and Inlaks will forward the submitted documents to the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths for joint review

 

The selected candidate will be informed July end 2017 and will be required to submit further documents to the University as required for admission purposes

 

Application Procedure

To apply for this scholarship the following documents will need to be submitted to FICA before 18th July 2017:

 

(a) Completed application form; (b) One page personal statement; (c) One page proposal for M.Res Research Project; (d) Updated CV with academic qualifications; (e) two samples of writings (preferably published).
