Scholarship Details
- Course Level: High school through post-doc students is eligible
- Study Subject: Scholarships are available to study Computer Science
Scholarship Award
- Paid registration for the Grace Hopper Celebration
- Paid travel and lodging, including a pre-Grace Hopper Celebration program in Orlando that includes tech talks, mentoring sessions and networking events from September 23-29, 2018
- An invitation to a private reception with Facebook’s Engineering Team during the Grace Hopper Celebration
- Number of Scholarships: 50 scholarships will be awarded
Eligibility Criteria
- The scholarship is open to all women excelling in Computer Science globally.
- You have to currently be enrolled at an educational institution in order to qualify for the scholarship (high school through post-doc students are eligible)
- For international applicants: If you are selected, you would be responsible for your own travel visa. Facebook would cover travel expenses
Application
- To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must submit online application through the given link: https://www.facebook.com/careers/program/gracehopper2018
- The applicant must write (online) short answer on the following question
Important dates
- Applications Open on 01st June 2018 at 09.00 AM PST
- Completed Applications are due by 29th June 2018 at 11.59 PM PST (Applications may be saved and edited up until application deadline)
- 01st August 2018 Award recipients will be notified by email of their acceptance by midnight PDT
- Scholarship recipients MUST be available to attend Facebook and conference activities between Sunday, 23rd September and Saturday, September 29th, 2018
