Applications are invited for the temporary posts of Junior Research Fellow for the project “Soil Fertility Appraisal and Temporal Soil Health Monitoring in Traditional Coffee Growing Regions”, a collaborative project with NBSS & LUP under the XII five year plan being carried out by the Division of Agricultural Chemistry at Central Coffee Research
Institute, Coffee Research Station

Remuneration: 12000/- consolidated pay per month

Eligibility:

M. Sc. in Agricultural sciences or Pure Science subjects like Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or any other related subjects

Age should be 28 years as on January, 2014

Nature of work:

Field work related to soil survey, systematic soil sample collection for fertility.

Evaluation in coffee growing areas of Karnataka, Kerala & Tamil Nadu

Important Instructions:

The appointment of JRF is purely on ad-hoc temporary basis

If it is found to be negligent in his/her assignment and devotion to duty and discipline are not found satisfactory, his/her service is liable for termination at any time without giving prior notice.

Not entitled for the benefits of DA, Transport allowance etc., as applicable to the employees of Coffee Board

Eligible for HRA and medical benefits as per Coffee Board rules

He/She entitled to avail eight days Casual leave in a calendar year and other general closed holidays

If he/she abstains from the work without proper leave sanction/prior permission he/she will not be paid any remuneration for such period of absence.

The Coffee Board will not own any responsibility for providing regular employment after termination of the period and should furnish a declaration if he/she recruited as JRF.

He/She should give one month’s clear notice in writing, if he/she wants to resign at any time after joining as JRF.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be based on the performance in the personal interview.

Interested candidates should attend a walk-in-interview on 28th January, 2014 around 10.00 am at Central Coffee Research Institute, Coffee Research Station, Chikmagalur-577117 along with their Bio-Data containing a passport size photograph and original & copies of all certificates in support of age, qualification, marks, research experience etc.
