British Council invites application for IELTS Scholarship Award for 2015 intake. The scholarship is given to Eight successful winners who will receive an award of Rs.3,00,000 each towards the cost of tuition fees

The scholarship will finance full-time programme at any overseas university that uses IELTS as a measure of English language proficiency as part of their admission process

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IELTS Award, you must:

Be a resident and citizen of India

Have taken the IELTS test with the British Council recently, with the test date being not earlier than 01 August 2013

Have a minimum overall IELTS band score of 6.0

Produce a valid letter of acceptance / offer letter from a recognized education institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admissions criteria by 15 July 2015

Begin an under graduate or post graduate programme outside India in the 2015 academic year.

Selection Procedure

Applications are initially reviewed against the British Council IELTS Scholarship eligibility criteria and assessed by external assessment raters and British Council officers
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a face-to-face video-taped interview, where you will be assessed by a panel of senior managers and external raters from the higher education department
