ANU Deans International Science Excellence Scholarship 2018

 

Australian National University invites the applications for scholarship to undergraduate and postgraduate. This scholarship is jointly offered by ANU College of Physical and Mathematical Science and ANU College of Medicine, Biology and Environment

 

The objective of the award is to support diversity of the student body and recruit high caliber international students into undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs offered by ANU

Scholarship Award

The initial award of $5,000 will be paid to the recipient, in one instalment, after the Semester 1 census date. Students will receive a 10 per cent discount of tuition fees for years of study thereafter

Scholars will also be given the opportunity to network with an elite cohort of future leaders, plus other networking opportunities with ANU Executive

 

Eligibility Criteria

The award will be available each year to a prospective ANU student who:

(a) Is defined as an overseas student under the terms of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000;

(b) meets the citizenship and program requirements as published on the ANU Excellence Scholarship page;

(c) has achieved at an excellent level in their final years of schooling, demonstrated by excellent results in their secondary studies qualification or undergraduate degree;

(d) has accepted the offer of admission to the Australian National University by the date advertised on the University website; and

(e) is commencing in a program at ANU for the first time

 

Field of Study

ANU Excellence Scholarships are available for study in the following academic colleges. Academic colleges will be offering Excellence Scholarships in different regions according to their strategic priorities:

 

India   

ANU College of Business & Economics – Undergraduate and postgraduate programs

ANU College of Engineering & Computer Sciences – Undergraduate and postgraduate programs

Joint Colleges of Science – Undergraduate and postgraduate programs

ANU College of Asia & the Pacific – Postgraduate Programs only

ANU College of Law – Postgraduate Programs only

 

Indonesia        

College of Business & Economics – Undergraduate and postgraduate programs

College of Asia and the Pacific – Undergraduate and postgraduate programs

Joint Colleges of Science – Undergraduate and postgraduate programs

 

Selection Process

Selection will be made on the basis of a student meeting the eligibility. Eligible candidates will then be ranked according to their Grade Point Average (GPA) or Weighted Average Mark (WAM) from their Bachelor Degree or High School/pre-Bachelor degree studies

The award will be offered to students by College selection committees chaired by the Dean (or nominee) of the relevant College which will also include other College staff as appointed by the Dean
