About this Scholarship

  • Established in 1995 and donated by DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club Ltd, this bursary is designed to financially assist undergraduate students, suffering financial hardship, to continue their studies.

  • The bursary is valued at $2,500, to be paid in one lump sum. There are ten bursaries available.

Important Dates for Australian Catholic University Undergraduate Scholarship

  • Applications Open on 06th September 2018
  • Applications Close on 11th March 2019
  • The letter should be submitted to the Scholarships Office no later than 01st October 2018

 

Eligibility

  • Citizenship: domestic and international students
  • Faculty: any
  • Course: any ACU undergraduate degree
  • Campus: North Sydney or Strathfield
  • Year level: any
  • Demonstrated financial hardship

 

Selection Criteria

  • Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
  • Written statement
  • Financial need
  • Preference to students from Western Sydney
  • For the purpose of these rules, Western Sydney comprises the 13 local Govt. areas of Cumberland, Blacktown, City of Parramatta, Canterbury Bankstown, Campbelltown, Camden, Fairfield, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, The Hills, Penrith, and Wollondilly.

Selection process

  • The recipient will be selected by the Scholarships Office.

  • Applicants can apply online mode only.
  • You are requested to submit a letter of appreciation for the donor explaining how the scholarship has assisted you. The letter should be submitted to the Scholarships Office no later than 01st October 2018.
