APPCB Research Fellowship Scheme 2017
Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB), Vijayawada invites applications for APPCB PhD Fellowship Scheme/ APPCB Research Fellowship Scheme to encourage candidates undertaking Research and Development in the field of Environmental Science and Engineering relevant to the state of Andhra Pradesh through PhD with board financial assistance

Fellowship Details
The fellowship is tenable only in AP and in common capital Hyderabad and can be implemented in any of the government academic institutions, institutes of national importance and other recognized Govt. R & D institutions located in the state of Andhra Pradesh or National Research Organizations/Institutions located in common capital Hyderabad
The fellowship is purely a temporary assignment and is tenable initially for a period of 3 years. In exceptional cases, depending on the progress of research, the fellowship can be extended for 6 months
The fellows will be entitled to receive the grants as given below
1. Fellowship – Rs. 25,000/- + HRA per month for first two years and Rs. 28,000/- +HRA per month for third year.
2. Contingency Grant – Rs. 25,000/- per annum
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Science/ Engineering from a recognized University. The applicant should have qualified UGC -NET or GATE or APSLET
Age Limit
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 25 years at the time of the submission of application. Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC/ Physically Challenged & Women candidates
Selection Process
The selection will be based on the recommendations of an Expert Committee that will be constituted by the APPCB. If required, the applicants may be called for Personal Interview

Eligible candidates shall submit prescribed application form https://appcb.ap.nic.in(Annexure-I) along with detailed CV of the candidate, certificate from the guide (Annexure-II) and format for guide/ supervisor (Annexure-III) should be submitted to the Member Secretary, APPCB
