Best Courses After 12th Arts

Arts is a versatile field. It is a misconception that only weak students opt for Arts. There are numerous career opportunities for Arts students. There is an increase in demand in careers like hospitality and service. Due to this, there is a constant rise in the students taking admission in Arts. In this article, we will discuss the different career options after doing Arts in class 12.



It is a very challenging and competitive field with very few seats available in the best institutes. A career in law ensures a high profile job with an excellent salary. Students need to score 60% and above in the 12th board exam and should also get a good score in CLAT exams. You can pursue a law course after 12th Arts in two ways, BBA+LLB and BA+LLB. Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law Honours is an integrated course of 5 years. The students study a combination of Business Administration and Law. BBA LLB Entrance Exams are CLAT, ACLAT, and LSAT India.



Bachelor of Arts and LLB is a 5 years integrated course. A student can specialize in Constitutional or criminal Law. Many colleges offer this course but some famous Law colleges in India are at Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata. Most of the Civil Services Aspirants prefer to join this course, because many topics from UPSC exam syllabus gets covered in this course. Computer Application

Art and computers are two different fields, but if you want to change fields you can take admission to BCA after 12th Arts. BCA or Bachelor in Computer Application is for students who want to pursue their career in Computer languages.It is not equivalent to B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science, but have good scope in many IT companies. The aggregate score to pursue BCA is 45%-55% marks. 



Most of the students opt for a Bachelor of Arts (BA) after completing HSC. It is a 3 years course done in many different fields like English, History, Psychology, French, Humanities and Social Sciences, Fine Arts, and the list goes on. A Master’s degree or MBA is very essential for a good job. There are many Management entrance exams conducted in India for admissions to the numerous B schools.

Many students go for Masters of Arts (MA) after completing BA. You can opt for your favourite subject out of options like Public Administration, Sociology, Mass Communication, Philosophy, Physical Education, English Literature and Foreign Languages to name a few.

Pursuing BA from Government college is relatively cheaper as compared to Private Colleges. Many Civil Services Aspirants take this course because most of the topics of UPSC syllabus get covered in BA and MA course. So if you are also a UPSC aspirant, then this may be the best choice for you. Also, you can go for higher studies like Ph.D courses. B.Des in Animation degree is useful for becoming an animator. A student needs to clear entrance exams after 12th Arts like UCEED, NIFT Entrance Exam or NID Entrance Exam. The popular specializations are animation film making, graphic or web designing, sound, and video editing, 2D or 3D animation, etc.There is high demand for animation experts in the entertainment Industry.



B.Des in Design or BSc in Design is important to become a designer. A creative student is a perfect candidate for this course. Students can pursue a career in fashion

Accounting & Commerce

Very few students know that they can take admission to B.Com course also after 12th Arts. If you want to change streams from arts to commerce then you can choose B.Com course. This is a 3 year Degree course.  Students can get jobs related to taxation and accounting. 


Diploma in Education

D.Ed or Diploma in Education is an undergraduate degree pursued by students who want to make a career in teaching at a nursery or kindergarten level in schools. It can be pursued right after passing 12th by appearing for the Masters of Education Entrance Exam. Bachelor of Fine Arts

B.F.A. is a 3 years course giving specialization in visual form of arts. Art forms like music, painting, dance, photography are some fields of specialization.
