CDS Exam (II) 2019 Registration process to close on July 8

CDS Exam 2019 (II) – The registration process of CDS Exam 2019 (II) will close on July 8, 2019. The candidates willing to apply for CDS Exam 2019 can apply through the official website: www.upsconline.nic.in. Last date for fee payment by cash is 07th July 2019 and 08th July 2019 if paid online. 


 

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Combined Defence Services Examination II 2019 (CDS Exam II 2019) for recruiting candidates for course conducted by Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers training Academy. The Registration for the same began on June 12, 2019. 

 

The Commission has introduced the facility of withdrawal of Application for those candidates who do not want to appear for the Examination. Candidates can withdraw online Applications from July 15 to 22, 2019 till 6.00 PM.

 

The CDS (II) 2019 Exam is scheduled to be held on September 8, 2019

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

 

1. The Competitive examination comprises:

  1. Written examination as shown in para 2 below.
  2. Interview for intelligence and personality test (vide Part ‘B’ of this Appendix)  of such candidates as may be called for interview at one of the Services Selection Centres.

 

2. The subjects of the written examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be as follow

  1. For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:
  1. English – Duration: 2 Hours & Maximum Marks 100
  2. General – Duration: Knowledge 2 Hours; & Maximum Marks 100
  3. Elementary – Duration: Mathematics 2 Hours; & Maximum Marks 100
  1. For Admission to Officers’ Training Academy:
  1. English – Duration: 2 Hours & Maximum Marks 100
  2. General Knowledge – Duration: Knowledge 2 Hours; & Maximum Marks 100
  • Maximum marks allotted to the written exam and to the interviews will be equal for each course i.e. the maximum marks allotted to the written exam and to the interviews will be 300, 300, 300 and 200 each for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy respectively
  • The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers (Test Booklets) of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English
  • In the question papers, wherever necessary, questions involving the metric system of Weights and Measures only will be set

 

There are a total of 417 vacancies to be filled through UPSC CDS (II) 2019 Exam: 

  • Indian Military Academy (INA),Dehradun, 149th (DE) Course commencing in July, 2020 — 100 Posts
  • Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala—Course commencing in July, 2020 Executive – 45 Posts
  • Air Force Academy (AFA) —(Pre-Flying), Training Course commencing in July, 2020 – 32 Posts
  • Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai (Madras)— 225 Posts
