HUDCO Full Form – Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited or HUDCO is a Government Corporation or GC under the ownership and administrative control of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. It is listed Company on the NSE (National Stock Exchange of India Limited) and BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange of India Limited) with major shareholdings of the Government of India holding which is 89.81%. Founded on 25 April 1970, HUDCO has its headquarters in New Delhi. It comes under the industry of financial services. Its main service is providing infrastructural loans. It started giving loans for infrastructural development in the year 1989. Its aim was, and still remains to date, to provide financial support to infrastructural development. For example, the development of drainage, electricity, water supply, sewerage, solid waste management and roads in the urban areas. It also gives funds for the development of social infrastructure components like primary schools and playgrounds, hostels for working women, healthcare centres, police stations and jails, courts, at a lower cost.
