TS EAMCET 2019 to be held in May – As reported by Telangana Today, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education will be hold the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2019 in the month of May. The exam will be conducted in online mode (Computer base Test (CBT)) like last year.  The State council of Higher Education will soon be announcing the dates for EAMCET 2019 along with other common entrance test for admission into various professional courses in the state of Telangana.

Earlier there was confusion over the conduct of EAMCET after the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) proposed to conduct a single entrance examination pan India by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for engineering admissions. It was to be on the lines of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), which is conducted for filling seats in medical and dental colleges. Ever since the proposal was announced, several States objected. However, the TSCHE cleared the air that the EAMCET would be conducted by the State government only

In the year 2018, a total of 1, 36,305 candidates had appeared for the Engineering stream, out of which 1, 06,646 qualified. Similarly, in the Agriculture & Medical (AM) stream, 66,858 candidates took the entrance test and 60,651 cleared it.  
 
As per the reports Prof. T Papi Reddy, Chairman, TSCHE said that “the dates for EAMCET and other common entrance tests will be finalized keeping in view of the parliament elections and other national entrance examinations.  Except for the Physical Education Common Entrance Test, all the common entrance tests will be conducted online.”
