NEET Counselling result cancelled by MCC

NEET first round counselling result cancelled by MCC – The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) recently issued a notification according to which NEET result, as well as seats allocated after the first round of counselling, is not valid anymore. The council also stated that it would soon release a new merit list or the new result in the upcoming few days.

The merit list for National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) in order to grant the first-year MBBS seats from various medical colleges across the country was released few days back. Due to some undisclosed reasons, the same merit list now stands cancelled by MCC.

The officials of MCC have not declared when or on which date the fresh merit list will be released. As of now, no one from MCC has commented on why the results were cancelled. However, few insiders have stated that the result was erroneous which lead to this sudden cancellation.

Usually, once a student finds his name in NEET round 1 counselling, he has to apply for document verification, get it done and then pay a certain fee for his selection in order to block that medical seat.

Those who do not get a seat during the first round or did not accept their seat would have to apply again for the second round of NEET counselling so that they get their choice of seat. The second round is slated to begin from July 9 and would end on July 11 at 5 pm in the evening. The students who have got a seat during the first round are not supposed to apply for any other round. According to an order by the Supreme Court, the candidates who were given seats in the first round can’t vacate or give up their seats in any condition.

National Testing Agency (NTA) had organised this year’s NEET exam. MCC which comes under the Union Health Ministry is in charge of conducting counselling session successfully.
