Registrations for IGNOU PhD entrance exam begins
The National Testing Agency has begun the registration process for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) PhD entrance exam for Admission. As per the notification released, the entrance exam is scheduled to be held on January 16, 2022. Interested candidates can visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to apply for IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam.
The last date to submit the application form is December 22, 2021. The last date for transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI is December 23. The application edit window will be open from 24 to 26 December for registered candidates.
All candidates who belong to the General category have to pay a sum of Rs 1,000. Applicants who belong to SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories will have to pay Rs 800 as application fee.
Steps to Apply for IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam
- Visit the official website – ignou.nta.ac.in.
- On the homepage, click on the link that reads, ‘IGNOU PhD Registration 2021.’
- Either click on new registration or login and start filling the application form.
- Upload the necessary documents and click on submit.
Candidates who have Master’s Degree from a University recognized by UGC in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks for General Category and 50% marks in the case of SC, ST and OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates or those who had obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September,1991 excluding grace marks are eligible to apply.
IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam will be held for a duration of 180 minutes (3 hours) from 10 am to 1 pm
