JEE Main 2015, the third Joint Entrance Examination (Main) will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, GOI. The JEE Main 2015 will be conducted the JEE Apex Board for admission to undergraduate Engineering Programs in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.

What is the Eligibility for JEE Main 2015 for private candidates?

Eligible: The JEE main 2015 notification clearly mentions that the year of appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE), only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2013 or 2014. In case of students who will be appearing in their Class 12th Exam (any equivalent qualifying examination) in 2015, will also be eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2015.

Not Eligible: Candidates who cleared Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2012 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2016 or later will not be eligible to appear in JEE (Main)- 2015. Candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent Qualifying Examinations in 2012, did not pass in 2012, but passed in 2013 will also not be eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2015.

This eligibility criterion is applicable for both private and regular candidates.

What is Eligibility criterion for Diploma Students planning to appear in JEE-Main 2015?

Although a diploma holder can apply in JEE Main 2015 but his rank and score for JEE (Main) will not be declared as diploma holders and so he/ she will not be able to apply for admission in NITs and CFTIs through JEE (Main) channel.

What is the age limit to apply for JEE Main 2015?

Candidates interested in applying for the JEE main 2015 paper need to be born on or after October 01, 1990. For Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person with Disabilities (PwD) candidates need to be born on or before October 01, 1985.

Candidates need to keep in mind that that Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered.
