Indian Navy University Entry Scheme (UES) Course Commencing June 2020

Indian Navy University Entry Scheme June 2020 - Applications are invited from unmarried candidates who fulfil eligibility condition of Nationality as laid down by the Government of India for entry as Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in Executive (IT) and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES), for course commencing June 2020.

Eligible candidates can apply online from 07th June 2019 to 27th June 2019. Other details like age limit, educational qualification, selection process and how to apply are given below.

Eligibility Conditions for  Indian Navy University Entry Scheme June 2020

  1. Who Can Apply - Applicant should be in the final year (regular BE/B Tech or integrated degree course) in an AICTE recognised university with one of the following educational qualifications and should have obtained a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks till pre-final year (till V semester of regular BE/BTech and VII Semester of 5-year integrated degree course).

  12. Candidates who are eligible for more than one branch/cadre/specialisation should mention their preference in order of priority in their application form.
  13. Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview based on their performance during campus interviews.

Medical Standards

  1. The candidate can apply if meeting the following medical standards

 

a) Electrical/ Engineering Branch - 157 Cms

  2. Correctable with glasses - 6/6 both eyes

b) Executive (IT) Branch - 157 Cms

  1. Eye Sight - 6/60, 6/60
  2. Correctable with glasses - 6/6 both eyes
  3. Note: All candidates recommended by SSB will have to undergo medicals as per extant regulation. There will be no relaxations.

Min Height (in cms)

  1. (a) Gorkhas, Assamese, Garhwali, Kumaoni, Uttarakhand and Nepal - 152 cm
  2. (b) A & N Islands, Lakshadweep Minicoy (locals) - 155 cm
  3. (c) Bhutan, Sikkim & North East Region - 152 cm

Selection Procedure

  1. The eligible candidates will have to undergo Naval Campus Selection process. The Candidates qualifying the campus interview will be shortlisted for SSB interview on the basis of his preference for the entry, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria for particular entry.
  2. In case of excess candidates IHQ/MOD (Navy) reserves the right to further shortlist and fix cut-off percentage.
  3. Candidates shortlisted during campus interview will be called for SSB interview at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam/Kolkata between Dec 19 to Apr 20.
  4. Selected candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their E-mail as provided by candidates in their application form.

 

Conduct of SSB

  1. The total duration of SSB interview is five days consisting of two stages. Stage I (day one) and Stage II (four days). Stage I test consisting of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test (PPDT) will be conducted on the first day. Candidate who fails to qualify in Stage I will be routed back home on the same day. Stage II tests will comprise of Psychological testing, Group Task, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. No compensation will be paid in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Special Medical Exam for approximate duration of 05 days at nearest military hospital.
  2. Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training based on All India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.
  3. Change of SSB centre is not permissible. Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates is to be addressed to the Call-up Officer of the concerned SSB. Award of fresh dates, would be subject to availability of date and batches at SSB centre.

How to Apply for Indian Navy University Entry Scheme June 2020 - Application Process

  1. Online (e- application). Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:
  2. Correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate.
  3. Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled.
  4. All relevant documents (preferably in original) date of birth proof (10th & 12th certificate), 10th marksheet, 12th marksheet and marksheets till 5th /7th semester of regular BE/ B Tech and Integrated Course respectively, BE/ B Tech CGPA to % conversion formula and a recent passport size colour photograph should be scanned for attaching the same while filling up the application.
  5. If any application with scanned document is not legible/ readable for any reason, it will be rejected.
  6. Print 2 copies of this filled application form which have system generated application number. Carry one copy of application during Campus Interview. Another copy of application is to be carried along with original documents/certificates as mentioned in Para 5 (c) above while appearing for SSB.

  2. The Candidates are to apply from 07th June 2019 to 27th June 2019. Please read the instructions given on the website carefully before submitting your e- application.

 

Physical Fitness

  1. In Naval Academy curriculum, a lot of emphasis is laid on physical fitness. You are therefore, advised to build up stamina/physique by physical training, sports, running, swimming, etc. so that you meet the training goals successfully.
