Is it possible to do Diploma in Pharmacy after 10+2 from National Open School ?

Answer:

According to the decision taken by The Central Council of Pharmacy, the approval was done for taking admission into D.Pharma/B.Pharma was only through Regular 10+2 (Science Stream).

In view of this, the Senior Secondary School Exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Math conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (which was earlier approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) stands null and void.

Moreover, candidates possessing qualifications other than those approved by PCI admitted to D.Pharma will not be eligible for registration as a pharmacist to practice the profession under the Pharmacy Act even though they might have completed the D.Pharma course.

A statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the PCI controls pharmacy education and profession in India.
