The Full form of MD is Doctor of Medicine. MD stands for “Doctor of Medicine, it is a 3 year post graduate degree awarded for a course in the field of medicine after completing MBBS. MD is awarded after three years of training in subjects having non surgical nature. As MD is a Post graduation degree, so candidates should obtain MBBS degree to apply for this course. Doctors who have completed MD can easily find suitable jobs in both public and private sector. Doctors having MD can apply for various jobs in government sector also. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the Combined Medical Services Exam every year for recruiting these doctors in various government organizations.
