Result of UPSC Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam 2021 declared

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of Combined Defence Services (CDS) I 2021 Exam on its official website. UPSC has also released the interview merit list. Candidates who have appeared for the UPSC CDS (I) 2021 exam can visit the official website: upsc.gov.in to check their results. 

Step to Check UPSC CDS 2021 (I) result

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in
  • Step 2: Check “Written Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (I) 2021” under “What’s New” section of the home page.
  • Step 3: Click on the link which will direct you to new window.
  • Step 4: Click on PDF link
  • Step 5: Result will appear in the PDF format
  • Step 6: Check for your roll number on the PDF document

As per the result, a total of 6552 candidates have qualified for the interview which will be conducted by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

Candidates who have successfully qualified in the written exam are required to register themselves online on the Indian Army Recruiting website joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of announcement of written result to appear for SSB Interview

UPSC CDS (I) 2021 is held for admission to (i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 152th Course commencing in January, 2022 (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, Course commencing in January, 2022 (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (211 F(P)) commencing in January, 2022 (iv) Officers Training Academy, Chennai 115th SSC Course (NT)(for Men) commencing in April, 2022 and (v) Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 29th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April, 2022.

The candidature of all the candidates selected as per UPSC CDS Result 2021 is provisional. In accordance with the conditions of the admission to the examination, they are required to submit the Original Certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications.
