NTA postponed UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 exam once again
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 exam. As per the notification, the UGC NET 2021 exam which was scheduled to be held from October 17 to 25 has been postponed as the agency has received requests from many candidates regarding the date clashing with some other major examination. The revised exam dates will be announced shortly.
The official notice reads, “Several requests have been received from candidates regarding the clash with some other major examinations. Hence, NTA has decided to postpone the UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles to subsequent dates which will be announced shortly.”
The UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) exam is conducted for the posts of Junior Research Fellowship or eligibility for Assistant Professor or both at Indian University.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts. First Shift: 09.00 am to 12.00 pm: Second Shift: 03.00 pm to 06.00 pm. The test will consist of objective-type questions. There are two papers for each subject. Paper 1 consists of 50 MCQs and paper 2 consists of 100 MCQs. The duration of the exam is 3 hrs. There will be no break between papers.
