UGC NET Exam for June 2019 begins

UGC NET 2019 June Exam begins today – National Testing Agency (NTA) begins National Eligibility Test (NET) 2019 June exam from today onwards. More than 9 lakh candidates would be appearing for this exam which would be conducted in several cities across India. The exam is being conducted in two shifts and the duration of each shift is three hours. The first shift is from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and second shift would be from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

NET exam is being conducted in over 600 centres across 235 cities across India and each centre is equipped with CCTVs and adequate security measures to avoid any malicious practices. Before starting the examination, NTA had conducted third party audit of these examinations as well.

 

The examination is being conducted for over 80 subjects for the candidates who are competing to get prestigious educational posts such as Assistant Professors and Junior Research Fellowships.

To further tighten the security during this examination, NTA has opened a control room apart from 15 regional coordinators, 162 City Coordinators and over 280 Observers in prominent cities where these exams are taking place. Additionally, the agency has installed over 300 jammers to curb the cheating.

 

NTA examinations consists of two papers and each of them have 100 questions.
