SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Tier 1 Exam postponed due to COVID-19

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier-1examination (SSC CHSL Tier I 2020) which is scheduled to be held from April 20 to 27, 2021 due to the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country. The new exam dates will be released in due course of time.

The notice on the official website reads, “Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country, the Commission has decided to defer the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (Tier-I), 2020 with effect from 20-04-2021. Fresh dates for the balance candidates of the said examination will be intimated in due course.” 

The commission will release the fresh  SSC CHSL admit card for Tier 1 Exam after taking stock of COVID-19 situation.

Earlier the commission has revised the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam to be held from April 12 to 27, 2021. However, the exam for the candidates who have opted for exam centers in West Bengal will be conducted from May 21-25, 2021. 

SSC CHSL Exam is being conducted to fill up 4,726 vacancy for various positions including Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India
