JEE Main 2024 April Session Dates rescheduled again by NTA
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again revised the exam dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 on March 28. According to the revised schedule, JEE Main 2024 session 2 will take place from April 4 to 12, as opposed to the previously announced dates of April 4 to 15.
As per the updated JEE Main 2024 exam timetable, Paper 1 (BE/BTech) is scheduled for April 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9, while Paper 2 will take place on April 12. Paper 1 will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9 am to 12 pm and the second from 3 pm to 6 pm. Paper 2 will be held from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
The change in exam dates was announced as the NTA released the advanced city intimation slip at the official website: jeemain.nta.ac.in. It is important for candidates to understand that Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City is not the Admit Card for the Examination but serves as an early notification of the Exam City Allotment. This advance notice helps candidates to know where the examination center will be located. The actual Admit Card for the Examination will be issued separately.
The official notice on the website reads, “This is advance information for the allotment of the City where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates. The Admit Card of JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 2 shall be issued later.”
The National Testing Agency has conducted the exam for JEE Main 2024 Session 1, at various centers across the country and in international cities. The exam for B.Arch. & B.Planning (Paper 2A & Paper 2B) was conducted on 24th January (2nd Shift), while for B.E./B.Tech. (Paper 1), took place on 27th, 29th, 30th, 31st January, and 1st February 2024.
