The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given a green signal to conduct the NEET exam twice from this year (2021). However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to announce the Exam dates for the NEET 2021.
The National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) is the national level medical entrance exam conducted for admission to undergraduate medicine, dental, Ayush courses offered at various medical, dental and other related institutes in India.
Senior official form a medical education department of the Health Ministry said, “While we felt that a large number of NEET aspirants still may not be ready for appearing in the examination in online mode, there is now a consensus on conducting the test twice this year.
The NEET Exam will also follow the same format that has been adopted in JEE Main Exam since last year. Students will be ranked on the basis of the best of the two scores if they take the test twice. As per the NTA Official, “The idea is to reduce the stress on the students and allow them to better their scores.”
