Exam Date for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 announced

The Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday has announced the exam date of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2021. As per the announcement, the national medical entrance exam, (NEET) will be held on September 12, 2021 by National Testing Agency (NTA). The application process for NEET 2021 will begin from 5 pm on July 13.

He also said “To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face masks will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc. will also be ensured,” he said

The Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also informed “In order to ensure social distancing norms, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3862 centres used in 2020.” 

NEET 2021 was earlier scheduled to be held on August 1 but could not be held due to COVID-19 pandemic and has been postponed to September.

NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India for 15% All India Quota Seats
