NEET 2019 on May 20 in Odisha

NEET 2019 to be conducted on May 20 in Odisha  – The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019, which was postponed due to the widespread devastation caused by the so-called mayhem ‘Cyclone Fani’ in Odisha has been schedule to be held on May 20, 2019.

 

The exam was postponed on the request of the government of Odisha in the wake of Fani Cyclone which hit the state on May 3, 2019.

 

Moreover, the Students of Karnataka who miss the NEET 2019 Exam due to delay in train will also get another chance to appear in the Exam on May 20, 2019.

 

The Higher Education Secretary, R. Subrahmanyam inform that , on the request of the Odisha government in wake of the Cyclone Fani the NEET (UG) 2019 exam was postponed for the candidates having examination centers in Odisha will now be held on May 20, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and the centers for the examination will remain the same.”

 

Further, the Union Minister of Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar tweeted and said that, the students in Karnataka who unfortunately missed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test on Sunday due to the railway delay will get another chance to appear in the exam on May 20, 2019.

The National Test Agency (NTA) has released the public notice and inform that the exams have been rescheduled for the students who were not able to appear in the exam due to the delay in Hampi Express. The exam will now take place on 20th of May, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

 

Moreover, the agency also informs that the students who were taking the test in Hindi at a center in Siliguri can also take the test on the 20th of May. Earlier, students in Siliguri could not take the test due to the unavailability of the question papers in Hindi.

 

NTA has also informed to such Candidates that they should approach the City Coordinators of Bengaluru and Siliguri, whose details are given in the public notice and submit their grievances along with documentary proof before 5 pm of May 10, 2019

 

The Chief Minister of Karnataka Kumaraswamy had said on Sunday that some students missed the exam as there was a last-minute change in the exam centers and the lack of proper communication of the same created confusion among the students. He pleaded the Prime Minister to intervene and ensure that these students will  also get another opportunity.
