Guidelines on dress code for NEET 2019

NTA guidelines on dress code for NEET 2019 – NTA has released a set of guidelines regarding the dress code of candidates going to appear in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) UG 2019 this year. Strict instructions have been laid out by the NTA regarding dress code and it is mandatory for the candidates to follow this set of rules. The dress code for NEET 2019 has been mentioned there on page no. 52 in the brochure along with the list of items that cannot be worn or carried to the exam hall.

 

Moreover, the dress code for the NEET 2019 will also be mentioned on the admit card of the candidates to indicate what would be allowed and what would not be allowed on the day of the examination.

 

Details Regarding the Dress Code for NEET 2019:

 

Clothes for the Male Candidates: Male candidates are allowed to wear only light clothes i.e. zips, pockets, big buttons, and any elaborate embroidery should not be there.

 

They are instructed to wear half sleeves shirts/ t-shirts. Full sleeved clothes are not allowed to wear.

 

Trouser is the preferred dress code whereas kurta pajama is not allowed.

 

Footwear for the Male Candidates: Male candidates are only permitted to wear slipper and sandals. Shoes are not allowed to wear in the examination. If any footwear causes obstruction during frisking then it will be removed by the candidate before entering the exam hall.

 

Clothes for the Female Candidates: Female candidates should not wear clothes with flowers, embroidery, and brooches. They are instructed to wear light and half sleeved clothes.

 

Salwar and trouser are the preferable dress code for women and they are advised to strictly adhere to the prescribed dress code.

 

Footwear for the Female Candidates: They are advised to wear slippers and sandals with low heels. Shoes are not allowed to wear in the examination hall. If their footwear causes any obstruction during frisking then it will be taken out before entering the examination hall.

 

NEET 2019 admit card has been released on 15th of April, 2019. If you still haven’t downloaded it, then you can download it online from the official website of NTA. The exam will be conducted on 5th of May, 2019.
