Registration dates for NEET 2019 counselling extended
NEET 2019 Counselling Registration Dates extended – The officials of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) have extended the dates of NEET Undergraduate Counselling Registration dates along with choice filling until further notice. An official notification has been issued on the institute’s official website.
An official from Medical Council of India (MCI) also confirmed this development and stated that the new schedule as well as details regarding Counselling process would be updated soon.
The registration process regarding UG Counselling’s first round was supposed to conclude on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. The result for this round was supposed to be out by June 27, 2019.
MCI or MCC have not given any reason why they extended the dates suddenly. The Counselling Registration for all India quota seats will be based on a candidates’ NEET score. Once the first round of NEET Counselling is concluded successfully, MCC will start the process for the second round of Counselling.
Those candidates who did not registered for Counselling first round, for them MCC will start a new registration portal. Apart from that, all those candidates who could not get seats in first round or gave up their seats hoping for upgradation in the next round would also be able to apply through this portal.
The candidates who had registered successfully during the first round do not need to apply again. However, as per rules, their choice submitted during the first round would be treated as null. They just need to submit their course and institute choices again.
Those seats under All India Quota which still remains vacant after the second round of NEET UG Counselling would be forwarded to the concerned state authorities. Such seats would be filled during State Quota Counselling process. If seats remain vacant Even after this process would be filled during Mop-up round which is scheduled to take place during August month.
