Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2020 Postponed, check details

State Education Minister Uday Samant has announced that the Maharashtra Government has decided to postpone Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2020 which were scheduled to be held from July 4 to August 5, 2020, for various subjects of the Department of Higher Education and Technical Education on behalf of State Common Entrance Examination Cell. The New dates for the exam are yet to be announced. 

According to State Education Minister Uday Samant, the decision was taken considering the prevailing situation of COVID-19.  He also added that the decision has been taken in view of the health of the students. Maharashtra is the worst-affected state with the most number of COVID-19 cases and deaths.

Students and parents have been constantly demanding to postpone the entrance exam.

State CET Cell had earlier allowed students to change their district centers from June 5 to June 10. MHT CET is conducted for various professional courses in the state such as law, management, architecture, technical, pharmacy, and so on. Over lakh of students are enrolled in professional courses in the state.
